I have been in the E-commerce space for four years. While studying finance at Penn State University, I would intern for my brother learning the very basics of what it takes to run a successful online business. Towards the end of my college career I decided to take the leap from a traditional post-grad career path, to pursuing a career in E-commerce. I was hired as an intern by a team of two entrepreneurs (Siah Lowe and John Einig) where I worked under them to learn the ins and outs of their E-commerce strategies.
Siah, John, and my brother Zach were part of a greater group of 14 entrepreneurs that lived and collaborated together in a large estate located in Malvern, Pennsylvania. This estate acted as a creative incubator where all 14 young entrepreneurs would share their successes and failures, resulting in accelerated success for all of them. I was lucky enough to not only be brought on board to John and Siah’s team, I also had access to the rest of the group where I would adopt the “do’s and don’ts” of early E-commerce.
Now, four years in, I am partners with both John and Siah. So far as a team we have generated well over $10M in E-commerce sales, while growing our strong infrastructure alongside Zach and Jon Lowe’s team.
I am currently running multiple apparel focused E-commerce stores. My goal is to build these stores into strong brands by implementing our current successful strategies, while shifting the focus from short-term profitability to long-term sustainability.
I aim to use this platform to journal my progress for my own reflection, while offering you insight into what it takes to be successful in this space.
